Artist's View

The Final Work of Art

The Cropped View

The Bigger Picture (Original)
The scene is from a Swedish folk museum park.

I know I'm bending the rules a little by posting 3 pictures, but since I haven't been posting at all some days, and we're nowhere near 100 members yet, I hope I'll get away with it! I wanted to show you the most important "Middle Step" in the process as well as the Before and the After.
I'm using Paint Shop Pro, which I've had on my computer for years, but have only just recently begun to explore a bit beyond cropping and one-step-photo-fix functions.

5 shared some appreciation:

  1. Bend away - I'm not much of a rule hound :)

I thought this was one of Dan's edits in the beginning, the way you placed it here. That, my friend, is a very high compliment :)

Wonderful job, you did. Glad you shared it!!

Keep adventuring through Paintshop, it looks to be worth your adventure.

  2. Dawn Treader...I am proud of you! In fact the final picture does look like a work of art and you should b proud of it. In my opinion...not only the effect but the cropping to just the one story building gave focus to the picture and made it what it is. Great job!

  3. Dawn Treader...one more thing. Often when I am hitting a wall as to what to post or running dry on ideas...I often go back to my photos and look to see if something such as this can be cropped out...you would be surprised what you find!

  4. Heather -and Dan!- I consider that a very high compliment indeed; and praise from the both of you means a lot! :) I find it very inspiring to have joined this blog.
