Before and After Cropping
Above is full view of the image. Below is after cropping, replacing background and adjusting exposure etc. Final step was to add a soft focus to the image.
Dawn Treader...we spoke of Photoshop a couple of days ago...that is the magic of Photoshop. Other image programs will do the same I am pretty sure. It is just that I have use Photoshop for the last 7 years and it is hard to get away from it.
There still remains in me the conflict of the unaltered photo versus the the photo that is changed to fit the mood and I prefer the latter. Although, there is something to be said also of the original unaltered image from the camera.
Dan, about the unaltered photo vs making changes to it - as I see it, that depends on what you want to use the photo for. Most of my life I've been taking photos mainly to "preserve my memories" and without access to any other means of editing than the scissors. Now, with the digital camera and the computer, there are so many new possibilities. It's fun to learn.
4 shared some appreciation:
Dan - You, my friend, are an Artist and a Photographer! This is beautiful.
Very artistic, like a painting. It's still a mystery to me how to change the background like that... What a difference it makes!
