Guess What?

Have a guess. It's a straight-from-the-camera shot, no editing.

Oooooh - this is fun!!

Let me think...it's definitely something reflected in the water. It's pretty darned big by the looks because come clouds are a bit smaller than it is. My first guess would have been some kind of flower petal? But I don't know.

I love the anticipation, Monica!! This is great.

Wow I LOVE this shot. I have no idea other than something over the water. Believe it or not it reminds me of a dolphin! Not that dolphins are pink and white. Eagerly awaiting the explanation.

Is it the reflection on water of a coat being tossed into the air?? Haha thats what it looks like to me. Nice photo by the way =]

Dawn Treader...I LOVE IT! You captured a UFO!!! Just kidding. I did not even catch that it is a refelction until I read the comments! This shot really plays with your mind. I would have to guess a dolphin blow up toy that is deflating????

I can't wait either for the answer!

Census says, at my house, that this looks like a floaty from a pool...perhaps a whale or a dolphin, possibly sinking or floating in the water.

That's what all of my guys seem to think this is, Monica....

Please do tell us soon :)

You're all getting pretty close, and probably quite accurate about the fish-shape of it. The thing is though... its intended destination was still the sky rather than the water...

Time to give you the answer if you haven't 100% figured it out yet: I found it floating on the surface of the river one week after the Autumn Market. It is an escaped and deflated market balloon. Probably, like some of you guessed at, a dolphin. That is why it was so particularly awesome to catch it with the water mirror image of the clouds in the sky...
