As part of a Sculpture Festival, one artist had a work in progress – a giant stone head - moved into the centre of the town for the summer, so that people can watch him work on it. When he has finished polishing it, the whole head will have the darker colour than you can see below the ear. The face is irregular and looks different depending on where you stand. The artist says this is meant to reflect that there are many different sides to a person. The original block of granite weighed 14 tons.

Dawn Treader...As I was looking at the collage...I knew it was from you! You have really taken some pictures of interesting sculptures around where you live! WOW...I bet it is hard to sculpt from granite.
