This is where I arrived at with the other half of the original photo from yesterday's post. I wanted the focus to be on the child and the midsummer pole. I chose the oval frame with blurred edges, because I found it helped the focus and also added a sense of motion reminding of the traditional dancing around the pole at midsummer.

This is the cropped view before I added the frame.
The grown-ups are so not adding to the "action"!

The scene is from a Swedish folk museum park.

I know I'm bending the rules a little by posting 3 pictures, but since I haven't been posting at all some days, and we're nowhere near 100 members yet, I hope I'll get away with it! I wanted to show you the most important "Middle Step" in the process as well as the Before and the After.

I'm using Paint Shop Pro, which I've had on my computer for years, but have only just recently begun to explore a bit beyond cropping and one-step-photo-fix functions.

Just playing around with the same photo in Paint Shop Pro, trying out differenct effect tools to see what they did, this is what happened when I applied the Rotation Mirror Effect. The next step is applying your own imagination to decide what it is that you see...
