Engineered for spring

Crocuses can be designed to bloom in any season and ours were of the spring variety. When they burst from the ground, I knew spring was on it's way!

Two In One

04apr11 153

We had our annual "Vermont Maple Festival" last weekend. An event that always creates a bit of happy in everyone, especially with the sweetest of sweets. Vermont Maple Syrup is the best! While enjoying a Maple Creemee, the boys and I walked around admiring all of the contest winners for maple baked goods. This cake won me over, I mean...just look at it. I wanted, so very much, to taste it...but you can't.

Now...I want to invite anyone who is interested, over to my blog for this special little gift giveaway {honestly, it's more directed toward the ladies, but even a sweet, devoted husband could enter to win it for his wife - hint, hint}:

Happy Helper

This photo embodies my granddaughter's openness to the world.  I didn't take it, but I wanted to share this.  She has a generous soul that brings happiness to many.
BTW, this was taken in NZ.

This is one of the first photos that made me fall in love with ocean views.

Driving by the furniture store, each week, I would see the big round ball which holds hundreds of little Serta sheep. The little girl in me simply cannot resist the idea of sticking my hands in that ball and pulling them out. Last week, we went in search of a particular piece of furniture for my little boys bedroom. In the store, they had the ball full of sheep :)

I'm not sure why I like this shot of the moon so much, but I do.

Nesting Big Bird

Up High

I was thrilled when I first saw them gathering up the branches and twigs all around the yard. Always holding a fascination to the black crows, having them so close to our house really was a treat. Of course, I could never catch a close encounter with them in the nest.

A tasty treat that I made the other day...and, hey - look, the chip bag also holds a touch of green. If you're interested in the makings of the sandwich, you can visit this post on my blog :)
