Sometimes the sky in Kansas provides it's own light show!  This was after dark!!  I was standing in the doorway of my home.

I took several shots of this staircase and found that I liked the angled shots best.  The straight on, level shots were just too boring.  I think my eye prefers a diagonal line as opposed to a straight one.  :)

This is the largest open cut gold mine in Australia. The Superpit at Boulder, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This mine was first taken as a gold lease on June 1st 1896 during the gold rush days. To get an idea of perspective have a look at the dark dot on the top right hand of the photo, that's a full size mature tree..
