Sweet Diamonds...

A couple of years ago my Mum and Dad celebrated their Diamond (60th) wedding anniversary so the cake I made them not only had 'sweet' sugar flowers but diamonds made from sugar....very sweet!

Project for the Summer

I've been tearing out the articles and recipes I want to keep and putting them in 3-ring binders.  I'm trying to clean up my abundant collection of magazines!  :)

PARDON me

I was sitting on the ground, working the manual settings on my camera to grab this little purple clover to the best of my ability...as I focused in, I noticed a bug...ooops, two bugs, I suppose ;)

** Friends, the blog will be undergoing some changes. Please don't worry, I won't do anything drastic, but I think we've had this format for quite awhile now. I realize that some really aren't comfortable with change, so I will promise not to manipulate anything in such a way as to confuse anyone. Just some basics and colors and such. AND....one detail will change the sizes of the photos that we share here. When I originally began this blog, I set it up so that everyone could post large photos. At that time, everyone wanted larger photos but as I can now see, most of us are remaining to a medium version and there is a lot of extra space in the post area. What I am going to do will not affect you very much, it will just clean up the look of our blog and hopefully welcome more to contribute. You should have no trouble posting in the meantime {I do this kind of stuff all too often on my own blog and post every day}. Oh, and I will surely be keeping the gallery style. If you've never been off of the post page itself, you're missing out on a nice display of all posts. Go to the homepage to see, or even click on your name's label below your own post. You will see a gallery FULL of your past photos/posts.

I have added the linkwithin feature to our blog posts, here. I'm unsure of whether it's something we really need or not. How about if you give me your thoughts on it, okay? Thank you :)

This shot was taken by my oldest son while we were on a hiking adventure.
