Called to Rejoice

For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you,
And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Reflection of Melbourne..

I love the reflections that are everywhere whenever I visit the city....

The City

Not all areas of Seoul look as nice as Bundang, a newly built city on the outskirts of Seoul, where all of the rich Koreans are currently flocking.

More commonly the cities in Korea look like this...
My friends are being "crazy" in this pic to indicate that we found a barber shop with THREE poles.  This has significance in Korea.  Basically, it's not just a barber shop...they offer more "services" than cutting hair. Generally two poles signify this "specialty" but THREE, well that has to be even MORE special...

Fake shark fins at low tide. The water was only a few inches deep when I took this.

Stone interpretations

We are a bit warped in our family. I said this looked like a mountain with a rainbow over it. Hubby said, "It's Mayan. It means 'best before 2012.' "

Have you seen?

Have you seen that funny creature on the other side of the glass?

FUN!

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.  Taken on our vacation in Hawaii.

This old guy, at 12:30 am had nothing better to do but take his dog around wearing sunglasses for foreigners to gawk at and take pictures.  The dog at least seemed happy :)

Anybody home?

This scene of Grace investigating a birdhouse definitely made me giggle.

Do children still play conkers? That was fun!

Vampire deer

This deer is native to Korea.  He is commonly referred to as a "vampire deer" because of his overgrown teeth.  To read more about this interesting deer, read my post here.

The same day I took a picture of the vampire deer, this MASSIVE spider posed for me.  He scares me!

More Daisy Love..

I took this just the other day and I love it......

Another Don't be Shy

Taken in the 1960s and consequently not the quality I would usually post but it really sums up my Dad, walking on the fells and the composition strikes me as being quite good for my teenage years.

macrocarpas

These trees from Australia are a type of pine that get blown and broken but never give up.

Hold my hand....

I took this shot at an Anzac day parade a couple of years ago, I've always loved it for it's simplicity...father and son, marching down the street hand in hand....

Red rhodos

The rhododendrons are so plentiful and gorgeous here that most of the districts have a festival of some sort that starts....now!

Native Hibiscus..

I just love the spirals that this flower gives me before it opens it's petals to embrace spring sunshine....
